- Camlock couplings conveying bulk products with compressed air/gas create a hazardous condition. The hose tends to whip or buck as the material moves through the hose. This snapping motion of the hose puts added stress on the fittings and increases the possibility of failure. Tie off the hose ends to protect against accidental separation of the lines and to prevent whipping or bucking of the hose. The use of Safety Cables is recommended for all pressurized hose connections.
- Check couplings and hose clamps regularly and tighten or replace if necessary.
- Worn out couplings and component parts should be replaced promptly.
